In October, Sèchey officially opens for business, and October 4th is our founder's 44th birthday! What better way to celebrate than with a bottle of Noughty - the first top quality organic, vegan, halal non-alcoholic, low sugar sparkling Chardonnay.
Created by Amanda Thomson, who was voted one of Business Insider's Coolest People in Food & Drink in 2019, her B Corp Certified Thomson & Scott is driving the debate for greater transparency in wine production and labelling. Amanda is not only leading the global shift to alcohol-free drinking, but also advocating for consumers to know what is in their wine bottle.
Says Amanda, "I recognize that alcohol is the new tobacco. We are offering consumers the chance to make a change without disrupting their desire to party. Sparkling wine is a celebration but it needn’t be alcoholic to be rock ’n’ roll.”
We've stocked both the original Noughty, the alcohol-free organic, vegan sparkling Chardonnay as well as the newly launched Rosè at Sèchey.
Thomson was raised on a plant-based, no sugar diet by her health-conscious mother, so always had a keen interest in understanding what is in her food. Formerly an Arts Broadcaster at the BBC, Thomson moved her young family to Paris and studied for her Diploma in Wine at the renowned Le Cordon Bleu School where she was Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 and an EY Winning Woman.
Thomson & Scott now sells in more than 25 key territories around the world including the U.S., Canada, Australia, Dubai, South Africa, New Zealand, and Mexico. We are so excited to stock Noughty on our shelves in advance of the holiday season!
